Candidates should posses the required qualification as on the last date of receipt of application.
Emoluments as on date: Level 12 of the Pay Matrix under 7th CPC initial pay of 78,800/- per month. In addition, House Rent Allowance [HRA] and Transport Allowance at the prescribed rates in force will be paid for those who are not availing Departmental Housing, Transport facility, respectively.
Age Limit as on 15.01.2026: 40 years (Age relaxation applicable as per Government of India orders)
Career Growth: Merit Promotion Scheme after pre-defined residency period by virtue of individual excellence, without any reference to vacancies.
Other facilities: Medical facilities for self and dependants, Canteen facility, Leave Travel Concession, Group Insurance etc., as per Central Government orders and support for research.

[2] Candidates are advised to upload the relevant certificates such as mark sheets, Degree/ PG/PhD Certificate, Experience Certificate etc., at the time of registering the online application.
[3] Application received online only will be considered for processing, and Offline applications will not be considered, under any circumstances.
[4] The applicants will not be allowed to make any changes in the profile registration once submitted. Hence, utmost care should be taken by the candidates while filling the profile.
[5] The qualification prescribed is minimum requirements and do not automatically make candidates eligible to be called for seminar/ interview.
[6] Age relaxation upto maximum of five years will be awarded for serving academicians in Government Institutions.
[7] A 'No Objection Certificate' from the employer concerned is mandatory in respect of those applicants who are employed under Central/State Government/Public Sector Undertakings/ Autonomous Bodies and should be produced in original if shortlisted for interview.
[8] The applicants are expected to have passion for teaching and communicating research outcomes to a wider audience.
[9] Government strives to have a workforce which reflects gender balance and women candidates are encouraged to apply.
[10] Institute reserves the right not to fill up all or any of the posts.
[11] Candidates who are selected for the positions have to join IIST by the specified date.
